Migrated from a small town between Mumbai and Pune and have been here since 2009 I still reckon this city as one of the best city to settle down. Everything is balanced here. Of course every city has some flaws but comparing to other cities in India right now it's definitely a much better option. And Delhi Gurgaon se compare karoge toh everything is better. Glad that you have experienced the best side of Pune ab tak and hoping it remains the same. Welcome!

Okay so it's sort of a hidden gem. I went to Tapola near mahabaleshwar in August on weekdays and was absolutely stunned by the beauty and calmness it had. It's called the mini kashmir. I'd highly recommend you to check it out. You can go by two routes, one through mahableshwar and the other one through satara kas plateau route. There is Koyna river which flows between various agro tourism resorts. You can choose to stay on either side depending on the route you take. I went through the mahabaleshwar route, stayed at my resort for 2 days, then took a ferry which took my car to the other side of the river and exited via the kas plateau Satara road covering both sides of the river. I stayed at this property called ' Nisarga lake resort' and booked one of their newly built King Room'. No idea about weekends but weekdays were almost no crowd at all.
