Standardising street food sounds funny since it would eliminate the essence of street food. Imagine 3 different vada pav stalls having their unique way of preparing chutneys and masala, if standardised wouldn't give me an incentive to enjoy something "unique" or "innovative".
Mcdonalds, Jumbo King, Chaayos are great examples of street food qsr.

I would instead encourage standardising hygeine standards:

1. Usage of gloves everytime.
2. Legal stalls at legal places (hafta vasooli not entertained)
3. Proper queue management
4. Ingredients from specific brands only (database of permitted brands)
5. No underage children employed
6. Surprise audits and inspection
7. Geo-tagging dedicated street food vendor areas on mapping applications.
8. Hawker centre type of concept (Search for Singapore hawker centres)

I had a similar experience a few years back. a wood workshop next to My rented house.at the beginning It was very annoying .as time passed by I got to know the people who work there and used to visit them regularly and see their craftsmanship. Slowly I began to appreciate all they do, and the noise no longer seemed to be an issue.
