For those who are planning to port: Every new network usually has a first free recharge. That's why you see the road side stalls giving it away for free. Even if the person assisting with the new sim provider doesn't give you this option, DO NOT do the first recharge from him/her.

The person might make it sound like the first recharge should mandatorily be done from their end during KYC, but it's completely optional. The real reason behind is money! The service providers usually have free money from the network for new customers. They'll try to make you pay for the highest first recharge plan, while doing the recharge with their free money.

You can absolutely do the first recharge on your own after your sim gets coverage. Or ask for a discount (which ideally should've been free) with the service provider when getting the sim delivery.

If you hire someone as a "marketing intern" then direct them to do door to door sales, they are going to quit rather quickly and you'll be back to square one. How much are you planning to pay your intern? What tangible skills will you help your intern develop? Cold calling isn't fun and you're either going to have a lucrative commission structure or make cold calling a very small part of the job. Additionally, hiring someone with a degree as an "intern" is strictly temporary; they will continue to apply to full time positions that pay a full time rate and quit once they find one.
