Since then she is a topper in class. But what is the use of all that? She is already a good student so she got that. Punishment didn't change her. Punishment will only deter child personality. They develop stage fears, they develop fear in speaking with elders, they will hide in a shell..they will fear to stand up for themselves.

Many children develop revenge seeking behaviour as they suppress their emotions if they get punished by parents. Parents be like to their children "RO MATT.. RO MATT VARNAA AUR MAARONGAA/GI"..

Revenge is such an emotion which will kill either themselves or harm parents in future. Such children after growing up abuse their parents like literally gaalis to the parents. it's all because fixed deposit of anger turned into revenge.

Not every kid turns better individual by getting slapped, beaten.. it should be ended for good sake
