Nandini had all my sympathy due to DV. But her wrong choices entailed not only having an affair with a married man but also to cheat her best friend. It was almost as if everytime she made a choice, it was Mauli who was compromised. She kind of was loving and supportive friend on outside but in reality was an inconsiderate backstabber, who didn't recognize Mauli's worth as a friend. Therefore, no sympathy from my side in this case.

By specializing instead of trying to be a jack of all trades. Too many industry leaders trying to monopolize, vertically integrate and by doing so dilute their edge in specific areas. Focus on one of those things and do it better.

Also, do what those companies are not doing. Talk to people that use their products, figure out where they’re dropping the ball, then pick up where they left off

The fact is, remote work or hybrid has more benefits than forcing in office, such as:

1. The best talent may not be local to you, or may not be affordable. Competing for talent in big cities is expensive. If someone can do the work from Idaho for less, why capture that savings?

2. Real estate is expensive.

3. It’s easier to revitalize middle America. Starting a company in Kansas City is easier if you can hire top tier talent from across the country.

4. Happy workers produce more.


There are little downsides

They picked a niche, solved that specific pain point and most likely pivoted, then they got traction and grow from there.

Huge company doesn’t fit all people problems nor they fit all flows and tastes, but also is not about mistakes they made, but opportunities left because as much money you think they might have, that is not the same as being flexible to experiment. At that point they respond to a board that urge them to make profit limiting now decision taking. So discovering all those details and fitting it into a new product while going through a learning process is the job of all startups, and of course is challenging but rewarding as hell

It’s crazy to make people commute for a job that can be done from home. Do workers that can’t wfh because of actual job requirements really want wfh people adding to traffic out of supposed “fairness”?
