JSS Hospital Treatment Cost
I have visited to Apollo, Manipal and JSS Hospitals on various occasions. And with having 4 old age grandparents in home, hospitalization post COVID has become more frequent.
My experience with Apollo and Manipal: They have pretty good doctors and good facilities. At the same time extremely on costlier end if you get hospitalized! With the amount you pay, even the way how they treat (not medically, in generic) you is good. Less waiting, as not lot of people want to get scans done within the campus since its expensive compared to outside. If you have insurance which covers it, I would suggest to prefer these two. Treat this as a 4 star hotel treatment!
Most of my grandparents hospitalizations has been in JSS as the doctors which they visit frequently practices there. My experience has been mixed in here, but mostly good! In terms of affordability and quality of doctors its been good. Since, its only hospital which offers high end treatments at a cheaper costs. Its pretty crowded! So, comparative wait time is high in terms of scans. (But, not too bad as well). If you are getting admitted for the surgery, I think it won't be much of issue as most blood samples will be taken inhouse in your cabin. And for other scans they usually would have taken prior permission/appointment.
I would suggest to take AC/Deluxe rooms (Its around 2-2.5k), but worth the penny. You usually have main doctors visitations once in the morning and around the clock you will have other PG doctors in duty to take care of needs. Only incase of emergency, main doctor will visit you other time of the day. And with huge number of patients, they make some delays in discharge. You might need some push from your end to get your files moved a bit. (Administrative hassle). Treat this as a 2-3 star hotel! -
