Yeah, a lot of people think T20 is everything now. Sure, it’s important because it generates the money to fund Tests and domestic tournaments. But the OG of cricket is no doubt Test cricket, followed by ODIs. That’s where the real grind is. You can call it slow or time-consuming, but that’s just how it is. T20 is just a watered-down version of the first 15 overs of ODIs...something Jayasuriya and Kaluwitharana brought into the spotlight back in the day. Don’t get me wrong, I like watching T20s, and I’ve got nothing against it, but nothing beats watching top teams grind it out over 4-5 days for a win. That’s pure satisfaction. ODIs, the compact version of Tests, come close, but Tests are still the ultimate.
