I think people want more powerful links just because they're more powerful. The unicorn is the free link from NYT or whatever. But the thing about unicorns....

But I think any link that adds value is worth pursuing if the input of effort is right.

For local SEO, some people say citations don't matter. But there are \~30 that tend to stick around in the Google index, and +30 index-worthy links is way better than +0 links or +100 links that Google won't index. Every time I work them for a local client I see ranking improvement, and the cost is an up-front cost. No subscription expenses!

Links that send qualified traffic are probably better than links that send no traffic. Ultimately, you're trying to capture eyeballs that can bring you money, right? DA doesn't matter at all if the link makes money.

If you subscribe to the Neighborhood Theory, links from quality sites in a good neighborhood are better than links from sites pumped up with manipulation. One offers long term value. The other will lose all value and perhaps be harmful once the site is uncovered.

New wave coffee houses and cafés - There's been a lot of expansion in Tier-1 cities (Blue Tokai, Subko etc) but not much out here, and there's decent scope I'd say. Heck even decent filter coffee is hard to find, I've only had some good stuff at Bharat coffee house near sursagar - although that place isn't quite accessible or as popular (the owner was planning to do something about that).

But technically you can’t complain. Just hear me out, not being a hater. Take cooking classes for example, someone has interest in cooking so they learn it from somewhere. After that they go ahead and sell/ probably start teaching themselves. So at the end if they start their own class, the content will definitely be the same right? People at the end will select which class to go to on basis of whose vibe they match with or who has more experience or whatever. You can’t complain about competition cause that’s inevitable. And a service can’t be trademarked.

At the end every educator (applies to any field) knows that students can become competitors and what makes you standout is your experience and the way you are.
