Sorry to differ. I did not appreciate the movie - at least not in terms of comparing it with the DDLJ. Please bear with me in the "Why" -


1. SRK and Kajol were not that great in the movie, but had set up a benchmark. Now, Varun and Alia had to fill in - and somehow I could not find any thing special with them (in this movie we are talking about).
2. The character of Daughter's Strict Father - Late Amrish Puri saab had been phenomenal. In contrast, Shri Ashutosh Ranaji - was good in his acting as ever, but somehow, I felt that he lacked that Sternness and Commanding Dialogues (agreed, the voice of Late Amrish saab was more baritone and Ashutosh Sir's voice is soft).

Yes, you might consider me biased towards DDLJ, and I accept it. More because it happened when I was in my 20s and this Humpty thing was much later - so I cannot deny the age factor, maybe I had lost interest in romantic stuff by then.

He can stop the prince, but not the king...

Another underrated thing is, maybe you're attracted to problematic women too, especially the kind who stick around with problematic men and have serial failed short term relationships. People who have wild lives have an esoteric aura about them that is attractive to many people. I guess everyone loves the idea that their love could transform someone else's life and "fix them".

I know many women who're dating sweet introverted guys. It depends on how much these guys choose interact with women, otherwise how would we get to know such people?

I would say that I liked my boyfriend because he was sweet and kind, sort of shy but a complete gentleman and a man of principles. In fact, I asked him out when we were in college.
