Why is it a surprise? Migration is the reality of humanity. Even people from developed countries move around and migrate. Here the reasons are mainly related to economy, cheap labour from highly populated States are flowing to states with relatively higher wages. My father's business was only possible with labour from Tamilnadu as the population from my place was migrating to foreign countries. Many of our employees stayed back, married locally and the children were sent to schools where we studied together, and the second generation are employed in very good jobs.

I live in Chennai in a gated community. My cook is from Muzaffarnagar Bihar. She and her husband migrated to Chennai 21 years back. They have 3 children, a 24 year old girl doing her CA inter, 21 year boy doing 2nd year Engg. And a 16 year old boy in 10th standard. All 4 of them have learnt Tamil and also mix well with locals. My servant is 36yr old also from bihar.
They are hardworking, loyal and supportive.
