Welcome in advance to Thane. Good city, I moved here after 20 years in the US. Been in Thane for about 2 years now.

Ram maruti road and naupada will be chaotic since those are very busy areas as well as market areas. Lots of foot and vehicular traffic. If you are looking for a chill area then prefer Hiranandani Estate. I highly doubt if you will access the station for trains. The estate has a lot more to offer than a plain vanilla setup.

Another option you.may think of is the Majiwada Lodha area. Fairly premium especially the Luxuria community. This is a purely residential area with just a handful of outlets.

Only english won't be a big issue. You will catch-up easy hindi words for auto fairly quickly. Most folks speak english as is although not as a native proficiency.
