I’ve been born and brought up in Mumbai and have family and family business here so I am kind of stuck here. Growing up I never thought that I would want to move out of Mumbai, Mumbai is very comfortable for me. But if I didn’t have generational wealth rooting me here, I would definitely be looking to move out, probably to a different country for better infrastructure and quality of life but even within India there are better places. Mumbai traffic is the worst I have seen in India, even compared to Bangalore Mumbai is worse. The heat and humidity is unbearable. Only December to February are decent months rest all the months you feel like you are melting. And it rains too much and infrastructure is whack so it floods everywhere and there is just too much population. Traffic is 10 times worse when it rains. And of course it is expensive than rest of India not just in terms of real estate but just everything. Mumbai is my home and despite of everything, I will always love it but if I was to give genuine advice to someone, I would ask them to genuinely evaluate all the options and think thrice before deciding to move here. I am almost a CA too (1 group left) so I know there are limitations when it comes to moving to other countries but gulf is a decent option. And within India too Vizag, Pune, Bangalore are atleast better in terms of climate, pricing and traffic
