IS PDA FROWNED UPON HERE IN CHANDIGARH? ESPECIALLY AT SUKHNA LAKE.
PDA is not cool. Book a room, even car(in a dark place) is better than public place. -
Do influencers check before promoting small businesses?
I think you should know the answer to this by now on your own. -
why is regionalism so strong in india? i am not saying it is not a good thing but for some people, their "region" is more important that India and its sovereignty. what is the reason for this and how can we reduce this mindset?
I feel these days people with less exposure and “too much free time” are the only ones who care about religion and caste. When i say free time I don’t mean unemployed, i mean those people have no hobbies, interests or a life. That’s why they make it their sole purpose to become so involved with religion.
There is so much to learn about the world, that when you pursue your interests, you see world from a different perspective and there’s so much to learn. Unfortunately they don’t care to learn more than their surroundings, leading them to care about petty stuff. -
GOP Senator Blames Americans for Most of Their Health Problems
Oh good we're back to this.
As a historian of medicine, this is literally the norm. It's only the last few decades we've accepted that disease is usually outside of our control.
As someone with lupus, bro I PROMISE I'd get rid of my illness if it was a choice. -
How are ppl still buying NYLON ?

Why does Vivian hate KV so much.
It's a combination of him being insecure of KV's wit and KV being an asshole. -

Should I quit non veg
considering everything, it won't matter much in the long run but it's never too bad to be more conscious of ethics when it comes to diet.
i find scriptural stance on the topic is rather clear. not eating it is ideal, eating the kind that is sacrificed to devas and pitrs is acceptable, eating jhatka meat will have karmic consequences but is better than other options if one has to eat meat. -

Making people work 80 hours a week is not how you build a nation
Most people will have no problem working 80-hrs a week if it is really needed and is for something constructive. Doctors do it all the time. Engineering construction crews, oil exploration crews, mining teams and other such similar professions I have seen people put in their hearts to the task because they could see that their efforts are part of something lasting and something big.
Nobody wants to work 80hrs changing font colors on a ppt or to give an ego trip to their bosses. Nobody wants to work 80hrs changing datasets to suit what multiple management committees want to see just to feel good about themselves and get some bragging rights.
I once met a young SJVN engineer from Assam in HP. He worked in a pump house deep inside the dam. These pumps are in some tunnels which direct waters. He told me that his work sometimes involves not being able to see the sun for days. He also said that he can't take any leaves because there are no replacements hired for him. But he continues in that role. I asked him if it is so tough then why doesn't he leave....he can find a job easily in the metros. He just said that it gives him a tremendous sense of responsibility and the feeling of agency that he is so critical for something so essential for the nation. He said that nothing else could beat that satisfaction and feeling and that role sort of gives him some meaning in life. And hence he was ready to push it for a few more years until he was ready to think about a family.
So Indians can and will work hard if it is for something meaningful. BUT not for making some old sack of balls feel happy that young people are whittling away their best years just to make his life easy. -

Be cautious of dating apps; it’s not like in Western countries. Stay at home, or someone might abduct you. It’s not that safe. Instead, get a gaming PC and play games rather than using social media for meetups. -

UP govt proposes 'no helmet, no fuel' rule to put curb on road accidents
In every country I have travelled to people follow the rules.
Only due to 2 reasons;
1. Some people know the rules are for their good and generally have a good civic sense.
2. Other people I have met, especially cab drivers from India, Pak, and Bangladesh, do not dare to break the rules because the fines are hefty and they WILL have to pay them.
India has almost no people with #1, so only #2 can save this country.
