Yeah they definitely were close. Spoliers: In the original, Tomader Rani, they obviously didn’t show it but it was 100% implied. After they get married (we all know that’s gonna happen it’s not rlly a spoiler) they actually have intimacy which is how the whole pregnancy stuff happens. The “fore play” before the screen fades away from them is identical to this scene when the ML is drunk. So it is very heavily implied that they did sleep together.

But also it was established after that it was consentual from both sides. The ML and FL have a convo after and the ML says he didn’t regret it and the FL talks about her love.

More spoilers: they kind of have this scene to have a reason for them to get married. The writers use this one night stand as a reason for the ML and FL to get married and the FL gets pregnant after their wedding night. Then her whole medical journey pregnancy starts which is Acc pretty interesting.
