One of the first few times I made kanda (onion) poha. This was a few months after getting married and I was new to cooking. I guess I left too much water in the poha after washing them. The poha just turned mushy upon being cooked. My MIL commented that the poha has turned into masala rice. Till date I'm wary about the amount of water I use to wash poha.

The one and only time I made cooker cake (the kind from the premix box, I think it was Pillsbury), I screwed it up. It was undercooked. Had to throw the whole thing away. I make better cakes from scratch now.
