Your brakes have far far far far far more stopping power than what engine braking could ever provide.

In an emergency braking situation, It's best to just simply focus on the braking part & Pray to god you get enough stopping distance.

Pulling the clutch in won't make any difference except that locking up rear wheels would become easier (which is irrelevant if you have dual channel ABS).

Practice is the key. Just goto an empty stretch of road, Go upto 40, Brake as much as possible. Make sure you increase the pressure on front brake gradually so that you don't upset your bike.

Do remember that most of your braking power is in the front wheel. Do this with more & more braking force each time & Try to understand how much & How fast you should brake so as to not trigger the ABS but still be close enough. Then repeat these steps with increased speeds like 60, 80 & 100.

I have been practicing it since last couple of months and now normal braking doesn't satisfy me enough.
