We are not D cocks to be stubborn pricks. Hindi is a new language(few hundred years old) based on devanagri script which sanskrit was and is. thankfully urdu is also close to it. Hindi states do have other languages like bhojpuri, Rajasthani, Marwari, etc. except they're not taught as widely as we teach telugu here. There are also hindi dialects like bhundeli, bhili etc

Hindi is the only 2nd language which most people in our country know on top of their mother tongue. From north east to kashmir to gujarat or even punjab and sindh in present day pakistan

There can be few arrogant people who flex about Hindi being the national language and all they're as stupid as in cringe fan wars.

My personal view is we should only speak hindi when it is absolutely necessary. Like doing business with other state people. Listening to central politician speeches. Bollywood and all exists we can't escape it.

Our politician's English is not that fluent too. MPs in parliament are very bad at it. Also it comes down to a point how the world looks at us as if British civilized us and gave us english. It sanskrit

In canada too french is 2nd official and spoken in parliament. They can't just limit themselves to english.

If we can we should standardize Hindi and force it on officials to atleast speak understandably
