On a basic level, the concept of privilege is that people who don't have to overcome certain barriers aren't aware of those barriers (like duh). Asking a bunch of privileged people whether there are barriers they aren't aware of is obviously pointless.

Spreading the myth of meritocracy is harmful to less privileged founders who think they can ape the way more privileged founders work and expect the same results. This isn't true. However, the way privilege works is not uniform across all levels. At *some point*, fundamentals become more important than prestige (although this is becoming more remote every day).

The article highlights one point which is very dear to me, the stardom. Before there was so much of fan following for a superstar, even in that age when there was no social media. There was a natural, organic connection between a fan and a star. Now i dont see any stars having that connection i think srk, salman and amir are those last actors who made that connection with thier fans. Now its all plastic doesnt feel that natural.
