Oh God not this here, evolution of culture and language is natural phenomena as people interact with each other and transfer knowledge, language keeps evolving .

Real language threat to Gujarati is from english .(English is a threat to language but an opportunity for people )

No language dies or survives against this market dynamics. If you want your language to prosper start doing original research in your language from bottom up and make new lexicons for modern discoveries (not Just translation but real new work)

otherwise what will happen is due to this gap between absence of certain works in native research,it will force people to learn other language.
Learning so they will have a disproportionate advantage due to this access,thus forming a group of elite and these elites will pass this culture top down

Coming to hindi , gujarati is not in any direct threat from hindi as there is no inherent advantage hindi has over gujarati in Gujarat plus having different writing scripts is a big shield.

Spread of hindi is only limited to certain pockets of city where there is high migration,that too specific from 1st generation migrants (except rajasthanis as rajasthanis learn gujarati easily). Those families also down the line assimilate ,while preserving their own language inside their house.(If you feel this is false ,talk with your local newspaper guy and ask him about the sale of hindi paper vs gujarati)
