I teach because I just have a lot of time. My daily planning takes me 2 hours, trading 2, 1hr journalling and analysis. I learned that teaching also makes me a better trader. And I know you'll ask, yes, I am a self-sufficient trader for several years now. I make my full income daytrading ES and stock investing. I don't give people a strategy but learn them market structure, orderflow, risk management and provide mental coaching. Anyone who thinks a mentor writes a pdf that makes you profitable in 3 months is lost and will kill his learning curve as OP said. A good mentor is a coach, a friend and a support.
Should I give my time away to teach others for free? No way. It's a fun job, but it's still a job.

Go out, try to strike random conversations with random people (irrespective of who - I even talk to random uncles and aunties or security guard uncle), watch some cool videos, think of doing some amazing stuff in your life and try to build this slowly everyday. You'll see a massive difference in just some time. Besides, let yourself out. Modern society enforces an insane amount of hyper independence which is not so good in the long run. Cheers.
