Used to play CS tournaments back in the day, Guys from silchar were beasts, incredible skill. Met them many times in the server as opponents. But one thing I always noticed, whenever they talked with someone over a phone call, they usually reply like - "we've come to Assam/we are in Assam/ we came to Assam yesterday." And they are from silchar, I always thought why are they saying they've come to Assam? They are from and in Assam. This seller is not wrong per say. There are two options:

Options 1. Seller takes care of the transfer process (given he is so worried you won't do it). You both sign all the paperwork, you pay for the bike and he hands over the keys/bike and then he submits the transfer paperwork at RTO. In this case he has nothing to worry as he is the one paying for and completing the transfer process. If in this case if he is not handing you the bike when documents are signed you do not need to pay until Transfer goes through. Sellers should understand payment happens when bike is handed over. Regardless who submits paperwork.

Option 2. Buyer takes care of transfer paperwork. In this case you both sign the papers, you the buyer puts in the transfer at RtO. Normally money would be exchanged when keys/bike is handed over. However, since he doesn't trust you, you can pay him full amount only after the transfer goes through and then pick up the bike with RC in your name.

I always prefer option 1. I have had no issues handing over the bike as a seller when I was taking care of the transfer. But it's upto the seller to decide when to hand over the bike, but understanding that the payment in full will happen only after keys are handed over.

People saying that registration is mandatory are wrong. If you want to take the bike without registering, you can ask the dealer and they will not apply for your registration.

Registration is mandatory for driving on public roads and if you don't want to drive there or want to drive on private property then you are under no obligation to register.

If the dealer still insists for registration, tell them that you need to take the vehicle out to different state for registration.

I am a middle class person and I'd like to give a counter view of why separate queues are required :

1. Locals vs Pilgrim

All famous temples' devotees can be categorized in 2 groups - first are the locals - who want to visit the temple on every special day, I have friends here in Mumbai who visit Siddhivinayak temple every Tuesday while their families visit everyday (they stay in Dadar) and thus feel they can manage it everyday.

Now compare this situation with someone who is visiting Mumbai for a few days trip - they'll have multiple places on their plan - Siddhivinayak, Mahalakshmi, ISKCON and other landmarks. Such people who have limited time might want an option of paying 100-500 extra to save some time on their trip, while a person who is visiting regularly wouldn't want to sheel extra money and would've planned their time better.

2. Now getting in VIP queues by paying money is accessible to all who can pay - what is the alternative to it ???

Either using political influence to skip the queue or bribe the temple staff to get through.

Having a fee, can help you decide if you want to pay additional money to save time.

We need to understand that *Time is money*, you can choose what you want to spend in the temple - your time or your money.


3. All temples have started *24x7 Live Online Darshan* now, so you can choose to do Darshan from the comfort of your home for free. With the number of visitors increasing every year, how do you propose temples equitably let everyone visit without refusing entry to anybody - it's classic supply vs demand - since supply can't be increased, the increases demand will drive the prices higher - in terms of time spent in queues or money spent to skip queue.


I don't think any VIP darshan line is charging a very exorbitant fee. The Ujjain Mahakal VIP darshan fees is Rs. 250.

Many multiplexes charge more for a movie ticket nowadays.

Those bashing Niti as Karan's PR and stuff, should know that she has been an ardent BB fan since years and she watches the show every year and is extremely vocal about who she supports. And all those calling her out saying that she just needed two minutes fame should know that she has a good body of work and definitely doesn't need such posts to stay relevant. She is doing and has done enough work for the same. Just like many viewers here, she is also invested in the show and makes such long posts whenever she feels that the person who is supporting has been wronged.
