"handling charges" is in fact a meaningless charge that showrooms get you to pay. I recently took delivery of a Triumph Speed T4 and I negotiated it out of the invoice. You should be able to do that as well. Showrooms claim that "handling charges" is the cost of transporting the vehicle from the factory to the showroom you're buying it from but I don't think it's a cost that lies on the customer it lies on the showroom itself. Otherwise why do they even bother setting up a showroom if they're not going to take it upon themselves to bring the vehicles from the factory?

Showrooms hide all these useless charges in their invoices so be thorough and ask them to explain every single charge before you make a payment.
