I don’t know how people even watch YT anymore. Instead of dealing with ad blockers, I just reduced my consumption to about once per week and I used to watch hours per day. -
[serious] What do you mean when you say that "whales manipulate the markets"?
There's some incomplete (and some kind of wrong) answers here...
First off, there are some ways the market can be predicted. If there are leveraged bets active then the liquidation conditions for those bets can be guessed at if they aren't outright disclosed as part of a regulation or because they're on a standard exchange contract. If you push a bet into liquidation then you know a certain amount of buying or selling is guaranteed to occur.
Second, the market as a whole is unpredictable in the long term, but in specific conditions it can be predicted to a certain degree. Look at the almost year long consistent weekly fluctuations in BTC prices after the pandemic crash stabilized for one big example of predictable behavior.
If an entity or group can cause a reaction from the rest of the market by buying or selling they can potentially push the ending price a sufficient percentage from their average to make a profit. This is possible in part because Crypto is a fairly small market in terms of daily trading volume, and it gets even smallet when you realize a lot of that volume is the same money flowing in circles.
So lets say an entity sells 50 million in one day. Sentiment is shaky, people start to sell to hedge their bets, the instigator manages to sell at an average price of 100k, but things stabilize at 95k with a low of 92k. Thet then start slowly buying their 50m or more again, at an average price of say 96k. Then they buy a big chunk all at once at the end, the FOMO rushes in hoping for another bull run, and the price jumps to 110k before the slowing buy orders show it's not going to take off and prices dip back to say 105k... let things sit at that price for a while as the 'Whale' slowly sells off for a gain of like 5% after fees, averages, taxes, etc... until they're ready to start the cycle over again.
At any given time they'll be risking a tiny fraction of their overall wealth, but they could be doing all this in a low tax country and even working under the table with an exchange or someone at one, using insider info to better time their moves, pay lower fees, etc. End result is some easily hidden profits they can move around the world as needed without tax, financial disclosures, etc.
Also note the numbers are made up, the actual size of the moves is going to depend on the market conditions, the size of the player(s), and it may be a group or company not just one 'whale'.
If the market doesn't start to react how they expect then they don't make their full move and can probably safely wait and take profits on it, since the alternative is prices saying up in response to selling or failing to rise in response to buying. In either case they can use this info to make money.
This can also happen on a smaller scale with small cap tokens, and a more obvious and illegal version is the various DEX draining 'attacks' resulting from poorly set up algorithms on various automated swap systems, except in those the risk is prosecution because the system is 100% predictable. -

How do you represent the “Return” or the ”Enter” or the ⏎ key?
For laptops like the MacBook Pro, there is a fn key at the far left, also called the Globe key.
Pressing fn+E can call up the character viewer. Or as u/vingeran wrote, ⌃ and ⌘ and spacebar will call up the character viewer.
Macs have generally used Return rather than Enter, other than on the number pad.
Return harkens back to early analog typewriters and the "carriage return" that brought the carriage back so that a new line can be typed from the left side of the paper.
When typewriters became electric, like the IBM Selectric, the carriage return lever became the Return key.
Windows computers always tended to use Enter where Mac used Return.
As PCs have tended to be more prevalent, many books or instructions will just say Enter as everyone understands what that is, and Mac users tend to be familiar with coexisting in a PC world.
I've always used Macs when working with Adobe products. When I answer questions about them, I use the PC terminology, knowing that Mac users are smart enough to understand. -
