Service technicians talk all sorts of shit, just like bike salesmen. When you load clothes the washing machine should show you the actual weight of clothes bring added.. I load 4kg in my 8.6kg washing machine.. lesser if blankets coz they get heavy and wear out the drum motor.

There should be enough space for the clothes to be raised and dropped.. don't overload it.
