Actually Pune has the highest no of luxury cars registered every year. Mostly these are builders, money received by selling off land, self employed doctors, lawyers. Very recently in span of one month in my bungalow society at Baner two residents purchased a BMW & GR-S Fortuner. One is a Business owner & other is also a similar background into IT. Even my neighbour has a GT BMW. So nothing new, Cars are normally purchased especially Luxury ones to offset earnings on taxes if you’re a business owner by showing the depreciation costs. Yea, If you reside in a swanky area like Baner, Balewadi HS, KP, Aundh, South Pune you’ll see a lot of these.
Also many decide to use the SWP model for the working class to buy these vehicles or many are on Lease by Company.

It's even more true now. Life is all about being flexible enough to change your thoughts. A new leash on life is often just a thought away.

I think it's important to be positive because if you're like me, you might be "wasting" your parents' money for another 20,30 years. If I didn't go to any uni, I would've saved them A LOT. But I digress; It's vital that you milk maximum satisfaction out of the resources you have, so you don't end up with both hands empty (i.e. the world hates you AND you also hate yourself)

My life and circumstance is a lot like you, and I'm in the middle of a turnaround I'm engineering for myself. I keep eating more and I keep losing weight (10kg so far), I'm smarter than I've ever been, I'm hopeful about becoming who I want to be, and using my life for what I want.

I don't know if I'll work again, and I know what's wasted won't come back, but I got a feeling that this is what I'm meant to use my life for. It was always meant to be about this turnaround, not common success or fortune. So gleefully I spend, and I hope people see what I'm trying to accomplish.
