The government expands most of its capital on its operational costs as well as subsidies. And most of capital expenditure is being forwarded to current expenditure. Using subsidies as the base of argument wouldn't fare so far, since more and more people (who aren't of the poorest lot) are asking for subsidies as well. Further, the government has given so many benefits to corporates and startups. What exactly are we getting in return? How exactly is income being distributed? I'm sick of macroeconomists fads as much as I'm of religious and identitarian propaganda.
