If you're looking for biodiversity and gymnosperms, then the Far Eastern Himalayas/ Hengduans of Eastern Arunachal Pradesh(Dibang Valley, Anjaw, Namdapha and Kamlang areas) are far richer in biodiversity than any other part of the Himalayas. And I'm talking about temperate biodiversity and not even tropical one for a better comparison.

Also eastern Himalayas and Hengduans are far more unexplored than there Western counterparts which creates for slightly more unexplored and well preserved vistas.


But if your taking into account parameters like snowfall and a much lower temperature then I guess you'd love Kashmir and Himachal and Uttarakhand.

But mind you that the western himalayas are some of the poorest mountains in term of bioduversity. The far eastern himalayas in China's Sichuan are home to about 15000 temperate and alpine plant species. Compare this to Kashmir that has only about 2800 plant species.

So it depends what you're asking about.
If you're talking about gymnosperms then nothing beats the far eastern Himalayas in China.(although I hope and suslect that we shall find them in India too).
