Hello, I am travelling from Australia staying in Gangtok, and was hoping to do a tour up to Lachung / Yumthang (I have been told Gurudongmar and Lachen are not possible for international tourists). If anyone could recommend a good budget shared tour for 1 or 2 nights that would be amazing. Thanks!

just got back from an amazing trip to rajasthan. we did delhi’s, jaisalmer, jodhpur, kimbalgarrh, udaipur , jaipur , delhi in that order.

kumbalgarh is a must see imo, living fort is awesome and the jungle safari there is worth just to get a jeep trip into the aravalli mountains , animals you see r a bonus.
we saw indian antelope, deer, peacocks , kingfisher and other birds, very cool.
just make sure u get there before dark becos some remote roads on the way up from jodhpur with lots of construction and bad roads.

jaisalmer fort was great, my favorite.
we had a very informative guide , Madhu who made the trip amazing - lmk if u want his contact.

jaipur was a let down too crowded and too spread out but we might be tripped out by then as it was last stop for us. so take it with a pinch of salt.

oh and do NOT stay
at hotel lakend in udaipur - worst experience of my life, will be reviewing them in detail at tripadvisor , but a heads up now.

Hahaha. As someone from Vijayawada but living outside for many years, I find that progressively the city has gotten worse in terms of civic sense. People have no care for others. Everyone wants to go wrong side for starters. It is really very difficult to walk on the roads. Few places with a decent footpath like MG road but that too is disrupted at regular intervals. There is obviously a fascination for eating out which I am not into much. I find that I try and go out as little as possible when I am visiting. Don’t even enjoy going to the mall anymore. As OP said in the post title it all sounds very pessimistic but that seems to be the sad truth.

Start an LLP or firm which will take the land on lease as a company. The lease should be a token lease with good exit possilities for the owner. Better still you can pay willing owners in produce rather than cash

Look for polyhouse cultivation to supply exotics/perishables and microgreens or else look to use organic farming for regular produce.

I would suggest you to go for some remote or Bangalore based internship opportunities as tech companies here are just service based and you would not get good exposure. And if they’re asking for money it is big red flag in my opinion.
