If there were more North Indians like the OP, I truly believe there would be no hate from the South Indians. However, reading all the comments from some North Indians, I can see why South Indians hate North Indians.

I live in Bangalore and I drove to Kudla over the week and here are some of my observations.

Hardly anyone honks. Which is great.

Autos are beginning to drive rash. I saw one auto overtake a car by coming to the wrong side and he was so fast, that it was scary.

Private bus don’t give a damn about anyone else.

Younger folks driving the usual brands of rashly driven cars - Thar, Creta and Kia. My god, the arrogance and lack of empathy on the road is unbelievable.

I've lived all over my life abroad, and had the misfortune of being in India for a year, and one day I was walking back from School and noticed the streets glimmering clean, not a single pothole, I was quite confused, and there were very few cars in the road too, turns out a foreign dignitary was visiting my city and they did all this overnight.

When they treat foreigners better than a citizen tax-payer, you know its just the British raj all over again.

Don't compare yourself with others; that will demotivate you. Instead, try to upskill yourself and find out which profile pays more in your field. Try to switch jobs and step outside your comfort zone. Do these steps, and in the next 5 years, you will find yourself in a good financial position. I hope this will help you.
