I had really good shawarmas in Lucky mydeen restaurant in periyar. Zaitoon was also good. I have had shawarmas in Hyderabad and they were the best. Couldn't find any restaurant that matches the taste here. Still searching :)

Well one of my close friends started a business. But had to close it down within 2years. Reasons...

1. Loans (no turnover to repay the loans.)
2. Bakit lage soboke sob bostu, but baki ghurai kunu nidiye (lost a tons of money to that).
3. Everyone thinks he is a millionaire coz for his business he need to maintain a certain standard of clothing. Therefore, he had to pay higher charges on roads(IYKYK).
4. Donations and contributions (this are real and no one is spared), for a small business paying 6-7k for a badminton tournament is outrageously criminal.
5. Most people don't trust local businesses they think the local ones provide sub standard items with higher price.
6. There is no such target audience, the population(with spending power) is limited and only few can afford others will just go for cheaper or thrift options.

If we consider what you're saying is right, Indore is preferred by rich people, most probably because of good infrastructure. Why the preferences of bureaucrats would matter in deciding the capital city? Capital city should be decided considering the welfare of the state and not the Govt officials alone.

Moreover, in my opinion, capital cities should be changed to less developed regions over a period of time. Changing capital city to Indore would only bring prominent focus of the Govt to that city, giving less opportunities for other cities to develop faster. It is important to have more than one important cities in a state.

1. Not sure about the cafe but you can try “old house” which is popular for great pizza. If you are okay with expensive option and little far from the city centre, try silent shores in the evening. It is serene and you will get some amazing views inside and can have good time alone. Make sure to exit before 9pm and return to your hotel/hostel.
2. RRR hotel is famous for non spicy biryani along with good side dishes. If you want pub cum restaurant, go for iconic mysore. Double barrel used to be great but now it is shut I heard.

3. Mysore Mylari dosa near zoo is a great one. It is very good but don’t fall for too much hype. It is worth visiting.

4. Chamnundi hills is heavily crowded in the weekends and you can visit using Ola/uber cabs if you are ready to shell out money for comfort. It is not that expensive. If you are a budget traveller, take the AC bus from “city bus stand” and it should cost you less than 100rs for to and fro.

5. Guru sweets is good but sometimes it may not be. Try Kanthi sweets. Ask for a piece of mysore pak, taste it and if it feels great, buy in bulk.
