I havent worked at Zoho. I have interacted with lots of devs and business folks who are in Zoho/ex-Zoho.
So basis that, Zoho's ethos is very hands-on. Dont even compare them to TCS,Infosys or Wipro in terms of innovation and all. Zoho is far far ahead and is probably one of the best in India at what they do.

I use Zohomail and its easily at par/slightly better than Gmail and Zohomail with custom email id - its significantly better than Gmail. Most of their CRM suite of products are also near/therabouts - and their Office suite, though not at the level of Google or Microsoft, is still sufficiently good. (Sidenote - Excel is the best office software ever created).

What I've heard is that Zoho promotes internally and they are quite rigid about it. I am not sure how their promotions work and whether there are biases at play, but any engineering leaving Zoho with 4/5 years of work ex is generally very very sought after. I've seen that their resumes are some of the first to get shortlisted.

You’re experiencing trauma. Your body autonomy has been breached and this is a big deal for you. I’d recommend that you find a therapist if you already don’t have one and process this.

I have multiple properties in Tier 1 and 2 cities and land too.
I earn well from rent. But rent is not the goal. While rents from commercial properties are avg to great depending on location, etc.
Residential properties do not give the kind of returns as commercial. The land value appreciation from residential properties is good as compared to rental returns.

I do not enter partnerships or JV with anyone. I own the land, building, etc. I construct apartment blocks and rent them out or I sell it outright.

Residential properties require a lot more expences to mantain and the yield is dependant on occupancy. Empty apartments don't generate returns.

The returns get reinvested in maintaining the properties as well as reinvesting in purchasing other properties.
