Conventional meaning you need to get the training and licence yourself, get your type rating and apply in airlines for jobs. Whereas, in cadet program, the airlines will select you on the basis of your aptitude and pilot abilities right after 12th and would get you trained from schools that they have chosen(you still have to pay for the training), thereafter you will be inducted as a junior first officer in the airlines.
