Regarding last post! Saw a video where a girl quarrelling with a mother-daughter duo. Completely agree with her message conveyed by the video. However, it is not right to publicly post and shame a minor (The girl looked like a minor). You could’ve blurred the video. The message is right, but the harassment and public shaming is not. People argue all the time over petty things. Handle it like an adult and don’t involve minors and it can threaten their safety. 4 0 replies
Doodh-Jalebi in Dehradun Hey everyone, I’m on a mission to find the best Doodh-Jalebi in Dehradun! 🤤 Any recommendations for a good restaurant or sweet shop? I’ve already checked out Sahastradhara Road, Rajpur Road, and Paltan Bazaar, but no luck so far. I know a great place in Mussoorie that serves amazing Jalebis with hot Kadahi Milk, and I’m hoping to find something similar here. Any tips would be greatly appreciated! 4 0 replies

Most Himalayan rivers originate from Tibet and flow into India, but Uttarakhand stands out. . Its rivers do not come from Tibet, but instead emerge from glaciers located within the state itself, making this region immensely significant for India. Too much corruption I am an Uttarakhandi as my ancestry is from Pithoragarh and Bagheshwar with my mother's family now on Dehradun. But always call myself proud Uttarakhandi. It's not Uttarakhand it's devbhoomi. My frustration starts on 2 points 1. Too much commercialisation and construction by govt of religious and tourist places. It's havoc on our tender mountainous environment (rich ecologies are not meant for over construction). Plus all this is benefitting outsiders not locals. 2. Too much emigration, the probable reason I unfortunately don't reside in pithoragarh. Why, despite so many... 4 0 replies
This heaven called Uttarakhand: A road trip [OC] It's the first time I explored further into Uttarakhand. Drove 1000+km across Dhanolti, Uttarkashi, Harsil, Gangotri, Devprayag and parts of Pauri. Met the kindest of people, strongest of women, experienced nature's wonders as never before and lived in a village atop a mountain surrounded by a bed of clouds. Nothing can match this experience and this beautiful state. 1 0 replies
