The 5 Biggest Changes That Made Me Profitable

For a long time, I couldn’t stay consistent in trading. I had the knowledge, the setups, and the technicals but I kept losing money because of my own bad habits. After making these 5 major changes, my trading completely transformed: 1️⃣ No Trading Before 9:45 AM – Here’s Why I used to jump into trades as soon as the market opened—and I kept getting slapped. Then I realized: -Pre-9:45 is a trap – Impatient traders get in too early, and market makers exploit them. -Stop hunts and fake moves...

AVAV is in trouble, see my reasoning below.

Company: **AVAV -** AeroVironment, Inc - Global leader in the design, development, and manufacturing of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) and Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGV), and Loitering Munition Systems, On February 13th, I opened 3 puts on AVAV. The stock has since fallen below its chandelier exits, with SARs in all time frames above the current price. The decline is marked by negative volume, with insufficient positive volume support (indicating few buyers). The MACD has turned negative, and the OBV is well below its SMAs. Long-term momentum is breaking down,...

risking 1% or 0.50% per trade?

i heard somewhere that if you have a higher account balance such as $100k+ then you really should risk 0.50% per trade risking 1% at all times is very attractive though, you can grow your account much faster, to the tune of 4 times faster compared to risking 0.50% per trade the only catch is you have to be able to tolerate double the draw down which could be up to 15% i'm thinking risking 1% per trade instead of 0.50% would be worth it in the end obviously...

Hi guys, I recently bought a course for Trading, mainly futures and forex. The course is for beginners and explain some things Like Correct pullback inside bars. However, I was unable to understand the overflow and order block. How they works and how you can use them. I am new to this and just want to learn some basic strategies, somewhere to start my journey. I will be thankful if there is a mentor I can connect with. Thank you!

Testing My New Trading Strategy – Two Fresh Signals for Next Week

I’ve been developing a new systematic trading strategy, and while it’s not live yet and needs a little more work, I wanted to start sharing some of the signals it’s generating. The strategy aims to hold 8-10 stocks at any one time and divides trading capital equally amongst each of the holds. Below are two of the signals being generated by the strategy, let’s see how they play out! 1 - Buy Pepsi. 2 - Buy Motorola Solutions Inc. My strategy also generates stop loss targets. Great to hear...

Need book Recommendations for Beginner Trader

I've been trading for about 3 years but most of that has been talking to my dad as he uses technical and a mix of my own trades. I've grown my account from about 1000 to 9000 and I'm 16. I have technical analysis of financial markets by John Murphy& The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham. I already know most market terminology but want more books for technical analysis or anything to compliment and also to learn options/futures more in depth.

    Trader or Gambler?

I've noticed in many Reddit comments that some people in certain posts are referred to as "gamblers" rather than "traders." But what exactly sets a trader apart from a gambler, and how can you recognize the difference? "Perhaps I believe I am a trader, without realizing that I am actually a gambler—simply because luck has been on my side so far." Thank you for the answers.

Best entry confirmation to use ?

Past 6 months I have been working on creating my own unique model on gold, so far so good, I can't share the full details of the strategy but it's entirely different from anything found online, I been stacking data for 6 months and it looks promising, I want a high winrate as well as a high rrr model, but I keep adding confirmations after every loss, I know I should be always looking to improve and learn and all that but I think it's overwhelming, I have like...

Tracking my Trades manually was a pain—So i built a Tool to Automate It. Would love your thoughts!

For a long time, I didn’t bother tracking my trades. I thought, “Markets are forward-looking—what happened yesterday won't impact tomorrow." But then I came across a quote from Euan Sinclair that hit home: >Is the world roughly going to continue to be the same, or is this time different? Betting that the world is roughly going to continue to be the same is usually the right bet to take. This made me realize that while markets are always shifting, my trading behavior was pretty consistent. And my recurring mistakes—holding...

    Daylight savings and backtesting

I have a question, recently i have gotten into forex and have started backtesting a strategy in wich i use the highs and lows of recent sessions. Now i have just been using 12am utc for open of asia session, 7am utc for london, and 1pm utc for new york. I have been using these times for the whole year but i am wondering if i have to use daylight savings to correct the times and that way take better trades, if i do have to consider daylight savings...
