Why Motilal Oswal AMC doesn’t want you to invest in US ETFs Hi!, I read a post about someone's US ETFs trading at significant premium to the performance of underlying securities in r/IndianStreetBets. I checked and found out that due to retrictions of creation of new units by RBI and demand-supply mismatch this discrepancy has taken place. Hence, buying new units may cause you a loss because basically you are buying new units at substantial premium than its underlying value.
