Idfc bank Idfc bank I personally don't see anything bad at the same time I don't see it recovering soon.... It is very very very undervalued for a large cap... They entered the consumer loan market at the wrong time of market and paying price for it .... They still have few debts but nothing sound soo bad also not soo promising ... Any comments to disagree ??

Few loss booking tips

I tried as long as I could to hold, but I can't imagine wiping of my capital if it falls even more. So I looked for strategies on perplexity, it suggested few good things as follows. 1) book losses against capital gains so you won't be taxed, right now I don't have capital gains but if I carried forward my losses it could be carried forward till 8 financial years. Eg. If I have loss by investing in short term of long term it could be used for offsetting...

In October 2017, the stock approached its ATH again but failed to break through. Similarly, in September 2024, it once again tested its ATH and is currently struggling to break past it. The 315-320 zone serves as a key support level. If the stock is to decline from its ATH, it must break this support.

Power Grid raises capex to Rs 23,000 crore citing soaring electricity demand

For FY26, the capex will be in the range of about Rs 28,000-30,000 crore, up from Rs 20,000 crore as previously planned. For FY27, the Capex will be Rs 35,000 crore, instead of Rs 20,000 crore.

Let's talk dividends

I am interested in metals, being a mechanical engineer I understand that market, so I'd like to stick to what I know. Gold and Silver ETFs have given me decent returns, especially recently. But I want to expand into base metals as well as mining stocks. Most mining stocks go nowhere, despite movements in commodity prices. But their dividends are surprisingly juicy, or so I think. What dividend is considered good, as a percentage of stock price? 5%? 10%? 15%? Any difference in taxation compared to simple stock appreciation?...

Murugappa Group - Tube Investments & Carborundum Universal. Thoughts

The Murugappa group's two Engineering stocks had stellar returns since the Covid-19 sell-off of March 2020. Tube Investments rose from Rs. 250 levels to Rs. 4600. Carborundum Universal was up from 200 levels to almost Rs. 1800. Now both stocks are down by close to 50% in just a matter of 5 months or so. What's happening here? My thoughts: 1. 1.17 lakh crore

So far in this year FIIs have been net sellers worth 1.20 lakh crore, while DIIs have net bought 1.17 lakh crore worth of shares. Tbh that's not much of a difference. Still we're trading near the lows, can anybody provide some perspective here?
