Anyone in Japan? I will not promote.

This is probably a looong shot, but do we have anyone based in Japan here? I've been thinking about moving to Japan and continuing to work on my own project while I'm there, as well as studying Japanese. It'd be cool to connect with some like-minded people in Japan. I will not promote.

Looking for potential tech co-founders. I will not promote

Looking for potential tech co-founder. I will not promote Hi, I (we) have been building Asakiri, a language learning site where anyone can create a course. Problem - Language teachers find it hard to create their courses and sell them to students Language teachers often make their own courses usually in wordpress (or other nocode site builders) or do it themselves. For the former, they are not meant for language course creation so there is a lot left to be desired from the students. In the latter case of...

Finding cofounders as motivated as you are. I will not promote.

Finding anyone willing to join a pre-seed startup and work in their free time for no money is already hard enough. Most of the time, offering equity doesn't convince people to join you. Even when you give someone equity in the company, getting them to really commit and work hard for a year or more is almost impossible. Does anyone have advice for how to find good cofounders? I will not promote.

Anyone based in Sweden? I will not promote.

I live in Sweden, and spent most of last year running my own tech startup with 2 cofounders. We got into 3 startup incubators, but things didn't work out in the end. I briefly tried getting another company (not tech) off the ground after that, but that didn't go anywhere. I had another idea for a tech project, though, and have been hard at work developing it. I'm happy with the progress on the new project, and am applying things I learned from the incubators. For example, I started...

I will not promote, has anyone used startupmag?

Has anyone used startupmag online? I don't want to insert a URL for obvious reasons but if you could have a look yourself and if anybody has any experience in using this platform, I'd be grateful. I guess what I'm trying to get to the bottom of is is this a web scrap or are these actual genuine people interested in what the website suggests they're interested in?

How do B2B startups do lead generation? (I will not promote)

For the B2B companies in this subreddit, how do you perform lead generation? I find myself struggling with searching for the right companies through search engines, and I don’t think my workflow for lead gen is streamlined. I would love to know what your workflows are like and what your success rates are if you’re comfortable sharing.

I will not promote: I just left my third startup

Two weeks ago, I posted on here that I was having issues with a friend of 15 years who invited me to start a startup with him. I just left it yesterday morning because we have not made more than $112.50 in a year from virtual clothing sales. The other partner and I did not know about this until we were discussing virtual clothing as a way to generate revenue until my ex friend revealed the $112.50 revenue from the virtual shirts made 15 years ago by other people...

What happens when software MVPs become “too easy” to build? (I will not promote)

As more and more tools come out such as coding agents that allow founders to create MVP prototypes quicker, what happens to the other previous ways to validate or invalidate ideas? For example, we’ve seen successful startups start as manual services or demos like videos. My tried and true method is to put a framework in a book and sell consulting. Then bootstrap revenue to build software. Now I’m watching “young guns” prototype one-feature apps in hours. Sure, they’re not production quality but as far as MVPs go, way...

How much should an MVP cost/what is too much? I will not promote

I know every MVP is different, but what’s a general principle to go for when creating a budget or developing an MVP? I’m worried that if i don’t spend enough it won’t be to my expectations and if i spend too much on an idea that fails, how do i transition to my next one?

I want to share an idea I finished right searching “ I will not promote”

So looking to buy my brothers kid a gift. Then I got into a rabbit hole of gps trackers for kids, because child abduction is higher at certain ages. The market onle has a couple of products and the mostly work but because the kids don't like to have stuff that are not toys, they usually don't wear them or remove them. The idea is to have a watch that feels like a spy gadget. So imagine a Tamagotchi, and and apple watch combined, also with a laser, a...

Free Product designer available 🙏🏽 - I will not promote

Hey everyone—I’m a product designer with 5 years of experience across apps, websites, and digital platforms. I’m happily employed but keen to sharpen my skills and contribute to building more products. I’m offering free design support to people actively working on something cool—especially mobile and desktop apps. In return, I’d love to use non-sensitive work in my portfolio and just help get things shipped. Ideally looking to collaborate with teams working with engineers or technical co-founders who need some design expertise. I don’t have an online portfolio (since I’m...

I will not promote Im just looking for advice on Scaling My YouTube Automation Technology

I build automations and am looking to scale a specific set of tools I’ve developed for content creation. These automations streamline the production of videos, social media posts, newsletters, and blogs—specifically tailored for YouTube creators. The system I’ve built can generate various tones of voice and knowledge sources based on different writers, optimizing content for YouTube channels. When a creator uploads a new video, the automation instantly generates optimized social media posts, newsletters, blogs, and even faceless YouTube videos with custom visuals and narration if desired. So far, I’ve...

Should I Join This HR Software Startup as a Founding AE? i will not promote

Hey everyone, I’ve worked in top fintech companies and just got an offer to join an **HR software startup** as a **Founding AE**, but I’m unsure if it’s the right move. • **$7M Seed round, \~$1M ARR** • **Very competitive comp + strong equity** • **Product has traction, but it’s not in AI/fintech** My goal is to start my own startup in the near future. Would love insights on: 1. **Does joining a non-AI SaaS as Founding AE still have strong upside?** 2. **Would this help me transition into a founder role later?** 3. **Key things to consider...

Made my first internet dollars with my 5th startup (oh, and I will not promote)

I've been building startups for more than 5 years. First one - the Telegram currency informer bot - had some real users & got some media coverage, but back then I knew nothing about monetization, how to work with clients, etc, so I just silently killed it (sad). Second one - eSports stats website - I was building this one with a friend of mine. We've had some outside financing, a small team of engineers, but no marketer. I gave this startup more than 2 years of my life,...

How a product from South Korea can expand/penetrate into the US market? I will not promote.

The US is the dream market for software startups around the world. I know some Korean startups that made big in the US, but none of them shaped their products locally and exported to the US. So, my questions are... * Are there examples of SaaS that were built locally and expanded into the US market? Preferably from Asia (I know Typeform is from Spain and Tally is from the EU.) * How did they do that? I will try to research this topic also and share the results...

What should a Startup CEO be doing every day? (I will not promote)

EDIT: I am still in college & I am taking a class that quite literally helps you build a startup + a real demo day. Idea is not SaaS. This class has helped me find a team who’s dedicated to the idea and would pursue full time if successful. Just some context to help guide your advice. — For context, I’m 21. Just began the startup journey. Have a team of 7 (2 UI/UX, 3 engineers, 1 CEO, 1 CTO). I’m non technical. We are pre-MVP stage. More mapping...

Starting a WordPress agency, figuring out how to get clients - I will not promote

I’ve been working with WordPress for a while, building sites, fixing issues, optimizing speed, and handling SEO. Decided to take it seriously and start an agency with a small team. We’ve already got a solid portfolio and can handle pretty much anything WordPress-related. Not just the basics either. We do custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript work too, so we’re comfortable with advanced customizations, integrations, and more complex builds. The technical side is solid. What I’m focused on now is getting clients consistently. I’ve seen all the usual advice like...

What’s the hardest part of running a retail business? I will not promote

From my experience, one of the biggest challenges is staying ahead of the competition. Whether it’s online or in-store, attracting customers isn’t as simple as just having great products. You have to constantly work on pricing, marketing, and making your brand stand out. Another struggle is inventory—having too much or too little stock can hurt sales. And let’s not forget pricing! Finding that sweet spot where customers are happy and you still make a profit is tricky. If you’ve been through this, you know what I mean! What’s been...
