Changing Website Designs

Hello, I think i may be overcomplicating this, but I have built a new design of my current website on a different WordPress hosting application within the same server. I want to now connect the same domain to this new design, how do I do this without affecting SEO rankings? I have seen the 301 redirects but my domain name is not changing it remains the same just new design. Any advice appreciated.
