Lately I have been discovering a lot of interesting connections of Manipur with Odisha. * Firstly the name itself - Mahabharat described Manipur lies in Mahendragiri. * Then the festival - Kang Chingba - Seems like a Sanamahi God got adopted into the Jagannath Tradition. * Then the Hiyang Hiren boat. It looks eerily similar to Boita Mayurpankhi.
