Pay the price or no justice (Opinion)

I feel really upset after the recent Atul Subhash incident. It’s frustrating that we have to protest and hold candle marches for months just to get justice. Even after all this effort, justice isn’t always served. Cases like Atul’s, the Pune Porsche case, and the RJ Kar College case show how people treat these incidents like trending topics. They talk about them for a while, then forget as soon as something new happens. Some people act like, “Why should we care?” and move on. But when something happens to them, they start demanding justice. How can we expect anything from the government when people vote based on caste or religion instead of focusing on what politicians actually do for us? Why don’t we think about these questions when we vote? It’s sad. And even when there’s hope, some people ruin it by creating their own false stories, just like in Atul’s case. I saw the news about South Korea, where everyone came together to protest, and the government had to listen to them. We need to do the same—stand together and fight for justice.
