Bangalore to Chennai

Guys, I have always taken either Hosur route or Chittor route to travel Bangalore-Chennai. Is there any other route, even if it is longer than the above two ? Thanks

Chennai airport

Having flown into all the major airports in India, I think Chennai has one of the worst airports. Long queues at baggage security clearance during arrival, leaking roofs, no connectivity between the terminals, taxi stands out of nowhere (enduring taxi and auto mafia on the way to the aerohub) - the ordeal is endless! What do you think?

How did you convince yourself to move from Bangalore to Chennai?

I studied and worked in Chennai before I moved to Bangalore. I have been working in Bangalore for around 4 years now but I want to move to Chennai. Where can I Thai veggies like Galangal, kaffir leaves etc in Chennai (preferably around Velachery)?

I really want to cook Red Curry, Green Curry, Tom Yum etc. I could find Galangal and lemongrass easily online, but kaffir leaves, Thai red chillies are not available. Do you guys know any special supermarkets or websites?

Branded surplus(Columbia/ GAP) stores in Chennai.

Recently I met someone in train who told me about a place in Chennai which is like a wholesale/retail area for branded surplus clothes. I don't recollect the place name but I do recollect it sounded like 'ramapuram' or something. I wasn't that eager to talk to him at that point and I didn't ask for more details then (which I regret) - is anyone aware of some places like that in and around Chennai. I am looking for something from Columbia or GAP. Thanks.

Auto drivers once again

I went to write exams at an XYZ place in Chetpet from Royapettah. The fare showed 99-104 INR on OLA. I informed the driver that I would be 5 minutes late, and he agreed.
