Pyaasa (1957) uses black and white cinematography in such a brilliant way. Constant contrast and use of shadows in a way not achieved by anything else of it’s time.

Find Wamiqa quite underrated tbh. After her terrific performance in Jubilee she's way better than her contemporaries in terms of both looks and talent.

    Help finding a movie

I saw the scene in public once. A guy with a tank top and hoop earrings was singing to a girl with a long dress and red scarf. In the beginning he was playing the drums, set in a yacht/boat with canadian flags around it. Eventually he also plays the violin. The people around them were white. Then at the end they run into the sunset… Ive been looking it for forever

Trying to Find an Old Bollywood Movie I watched

Hi everyone, I've been searching every so often on google but realized here might be a better format to do this, I grew up watching some Bollywood movies but there's one that I briefly remember but can't remember the title! Essentially what i remember is that it's an Indian/Pakistani love story it ends with 2 main characters being killed tied to a tree by the woman's father who was a military guy. That's the best that I can do if you have a guess please tell me!

    Movie name i couldn't remember.

Without wasting much of your time, lemme explain this real quick to you. There is this survival genre Hindi movie in which 2 burglars sneak into a family's house on the night of diwali. Some scenes/points i remember: - This movie was probably based on a true story. -They (burglars) turned on the lpg gas to scare the family to not try to escape or they'll lit the whole house. - Maybe, the girl was the lone survivor in it....? I don't remember clearly though! -Movie isn't that old,...

Do they have any connection to their Punjabi side?

So I found out a couple years ago Amitabh is half sikh! Why does he look like he's totally from the Hindi heartland, did his Mother not have as much influence on him as his Dad? He has great command on Hindi and sounds so sofisticated when he speaks, does he even know Punjabi? At this point I feel like due to Jaya he probably has a greater Bengali influence too. Why doesn't he talk about his Punjabi side? Also, I always thought Ajay Devgn was Marathi, and he...

    Appreciation post for Ajay Devgan

A few days back a standup went viral that made fun of Ajay Devgan. While a lot of things in it were true and funny. One thing that I took offence was he doesn't have too many fans. So while I'm an SRK fan (looks wise), I will say that acting wise amongst the top 5 super stars of Bollywood, he is the no. 1. My own take on acting is weather it immerses you in the scene and their world or do you get distracted by the star...

    What would you pick?

Imagine.. it's 2042. Someone who is born now will be 18. And you know him/her. And you gotta recco a movie of your favorite actors because you think that 18-year-old will say 'Wow!'. That admiration can't be out of nostalgia or funny cringe stuff, but out of sheer brilliance of the FILM and your favorite actor doing good in it. So, what would be your choices? For me Big B : Black Aamir: Lagaan, RDB SRK : Chak De, Dil Se Akshay : None Ajay : Company, HDDCS Salman...

    Help identify the movie

This movie had a lot of the good actor cast. One name i can think of is Viju hotel (Rabert in Andaz apna apna). This was an English satire which takes place in heaven (swarg)! Plot being a politician dies and goes to parlok and starts a revolution there to dethrone Indra and rule there! I remember the jokes were extremely potent and funny but I can't seem to find the movie name or any site where I can stream it since a long long time now! P.s: this...

    Help me find this movie

So the movie was similar to "life in a metro". I just remember one scene that a guy who's very single uses his card to get a girl on some dating site. She turns out to be real. She asks for help after a while as a guy in a jeep approaches her. He pays off her loans and then the girl poisons him and he ends up in a morgue DEAD. The girl goes to the jeep guy to get her share. There were other dark stories like...

I know that pankaj tripathi gets same kind of role which have very less variation but I think Ravi kishan is a good and more versatile actor than pankaj tripathi
