Are there any other Americans in Bihar? Specifically Patna. I'm a 27 year old American moving to Patna, Bihar for an 18 month contract. I'm working for a pretty good company, and might stay on site permanently after my 18 month contract, provided I give the results. I move to Patna in mid March. Anything I should know? How long have you been there? What did you find hardest adjusting to? 1 19 replies
Caste based privilege in Bihar isn't history, it's still a reality. Question it! Caste-based privilege in Bihar isn’t just some old tradition—it’s still shaping people’s lives today. If you’re born into an upper caste, things just come easier—education, respect, opportunities—while others have to fight for what should be basic. The real problem? Most people don’t even question it because it benefits them. This system has been passed down for generations, sometimes without people even realizing it, sometimes because they don’t want to give up their advantage. But privilege isn’t just about having more—it’s about others getting less. If things are ever going... 3 0 replies
Bihar Elections 2025 — The Political Earthquake? The 2025 Bihar Assembly elections won’t just be a state-level contest—it will be a political earthquake sending tremors straight to Delhi. With JD(U) struggling to hold its ground, Bihar’s power chessboard is set for a dramatic realignment. Jan Suraaj Party (JSP) will emerge as the unpredictable kingmaker, controlling the strings of power, while RJD will find itself in a fight to stay dominant in the opposition space. Meanwhile, BJP is gearing up for an electoral sweep, tightening its grip on Bihar’s political landscape like never before. This election isn’t... 1 0 replies
What do people think of Patna Police? I really admire their hard work and quick response. However, from my experience, I feel that Patna Police are very rude and rigid when interacting with the common man. Their behavior seems to be getting worse day by day. I noticed these issues after I recently became a practicing advocate. Before that, I had a very positive experience with them, as four of my Chachu(s) are MLAs. However, once I started my practice, I observed that the police especially Patna Police are extremely rude when it comes to public... 5 0 replies
चच्चा फेरू पलटी मारे के तइयारी में बानी का हो?😂 Bihar’s politics is like a Patna Rickshaw—kab speed badhe, kab palti maare, koi na jaane! Unexpected twists, overnight alliances, and leaders who flip faster than a Patna ke Golgappa wala! Power here is temporary, but opportunism is permanent.... 5 2 replies

BJP will never have its own CM ever in Bihar!! Unpopular opinion: BJP will never have its own CM in Bihar and we know it for sure and Unless BJP gets its own CM , it will not support by giving above and beyond and doing more then what it is currently doing. Which will need atleast a generation to overcome the defecit. BJP has historically been cautious about giving full backing unless it has greater control, especially in states where it plays a key role but doesn’t hold the CM position. Also why will its central govt give... 1 3 replies

Prashant Kishor is the only hope right now. Bihar is the most backward state in India right now in terms of most of the metrics. Many politicians from ALL the political parties like Congress, RJD, JDU and BJP are responsible for this. Now before the party defenders start yapping in the replies, let me say this- Suppose all goverments formed by all political parties achieved everything which they claim they did. Let's just suppose that happened. Still Bihar is behind everyother state. Not just that, these parties have made bihar the cheap labour pool for all other... 1 21 replies
