Promoter ownership in Nifty50 companies has fallen to a 22-year low According to NSE data, promoter holdings declined by 96 bps sequentially and 167 bps over the past three quarters. Institutional investors, particularly domestic mutual funds, have stepped in to absorb the divested shares, raising concerns about corporate governance and market stability. The decline in promoter holdings is part of a long-term trend observed since 2009, with only a brief reversal between 2019 and 2021. https://preview.redd.it/tludbh99oole1.png?width=680&format=png&auto=webp&s=6578d47c297b6c32a2b2bbbc0c5d22c80184a5ac 4 6 replies

Why Indian people throw trash out train window? Recently after very long time I travelled in sleeper class train and saw that people simply throw trash like empty plastic bottles, plastic wrappings and paper out the window. And both sides of the train track is filled with litter. Same thing at almost all tourist spots and cities in India. This massively decreases quality of life of people in India and prevents tourists from visiting India. How can indian government raise awareness about not throwing trash anywhere but instead carrying it back home? 1 22 replies

Also in my area the on-road price is 2,80,000 online, but the showroom is 'quoting' 2,95,000, is it right? They are also changing logistics fees (from Pune to delhi) extra. Can I 'negotiate' over the price & get extended warranty & some gear as a bundle? 2 15 replies

How was the life of common people in Maharashtra during british era ? I had this discussion once with my grandfather , and he said that pre independence and post independence things were not very different till late 80s when sugarcane mills emerged especially in our region ( western maharashtra ) . Society mostly functioned on rural basis ( kind of symbiotic with everyone has defined work , obviously based on castes at that time ) . Most people still believed in kings autonomy especially in princely states . Casteism was still a thing . Also he says that british made education... 5 0 replies
