What is the /Volumes/Preboot/ folder? I recently checked my disk usage and noticed that the /Volumes/Preboot/ folder contains a subdirectory with a long UUID-like name. Inside, I found several folders, including cryptex1, restore, and boot, with cryptex1 taking up over 11GB of space. What exactly is the purpose of the Preboot volume? Why is cryptex1 using so much storage? Is it safe to delete or clear any of these files to free up space? Could this be related to macOS updates, FileVault, or system recovery? Migration/User Folder Issue Howdy After 10 years I've upgraded to a new Macbook Pro. Problem is on my Macbook Air my home user is set as my dad's name. I've never been able to change this but I don't want to migrate this onto my new Macbook Pro. I also don't want to change this name on the Macbook Air either before migrating as I'm giving it to my dad anyway. MS Intune coming: how do I separate my Apps and Docs best? Hi all, situation is as follows: I have a company MBP M1 Pro. I was basically allowed to do whatever I wanted on it. Now Admins are rolling out MS Intune to manage Devices. As far as I know, I can simply create 2 users with admin rights as a way of compartmentalizing Apps & Data. Today while returning from office 4 women came next to my car at Birla Mandir Circle during Red Signal and started knocking my window. 1 of them was looking pregnent and the lady who knocked my window told me that she is in Labour pain and delivery can happen at any moment.
