Frankly, not everyone has same feelings towards other animals. I would safely say majority of Indians don't feel much sorry for dogs or any other animals. Being a vegetarian is different than having compassion for animals

When I was doing my masters a classmate of mine delivered the baby like a month before starting uni, her husband used to bring the baby to the university and she used to feed the baby during the breaks and he became stay at home dad for two years until my friend graduated. we all have mad respect for that couple.
