To have such socialized care you need to get the general Health of the current young population up, then in 30 years when we are ready for social healthcare financially and politically we will have a lower burden of health care to start with.

Current 30 year olds are as healthy as a European 60 year old. Obese or skinny fat, poor diet and no exercise regimen, they will be a huge drain in 30 years.

The thinking in this video is why we have had public service issue. The experts analyze cost and then encourage a medium which failed. The reasons buses failed. Buses will always be slower than private vehicles, and BRTS system will never work. When it is more costly to mandate and police the system for BRTS, it just fails. Roads are already overcrowded, the second you add more buses you have more traffic, not less. Just look at BMTC, apart from peak hours ridership in AC buses is poor. You can certainly argue for more non-AC buses. Question still remains why will I ever leave the private vehicle that I acquired? The answer is when it is cheaper, faster and more comfortable. You need to build metro and train lines first, then link roads and then the city around it rather than have them develop before and then start planning it later.

Just look at Bangalore, lets say Devanahalli is where govt wanted people to settle then it should have constructed and made a metro operational few years ago, so someone on ORR can live there rather than settle in Bellandur. You need to plan and build earlier.

The city is contructed with car first mobility in mind. The buses simply can't operate on inner roads. You can't have 5 km distance left to autos, that too, that overcharge 200%. The issue is mobility to the bus/metro and then back. But, we should wait for politicians and their friends to acquire lands and then plan infra.

Also, adding only large buses is really stupid as a strategy.
