Huntington Beach native chiming in from the midwest here. I'm so goddamned proud of him and so completely and utterly unsurprised and disgusted at the all-too-typical actions of the HBCC. I watched the descent from quirky resort town full of surfers to a gentrified, red cap infested hell hole. I got out while I could and I've never been gladder. My poor mother and her mother as well as family friends who basically helped raise me and my younger brother still live there and both are just beyond angry and terrified at what may happen next there. I sincerely hope that the good people still left in town (most likely NE of Slater Ave aka the slummy part of town). I am actually hoping something boils over to wake up all the complacent privileged people to the fact that it's now or never but I find my optimism lacking in that regard. Keep fighting! 

People are using your name and ideals to show off on social media and manipulate people. People yell out your name without being even 1% of who you were during your lifetime. Your ideal of Swaraj has been thrown down the drain by modern leaders who only fill their own pockets with the blood money of the descendants of your subjects.
