If you have 5 hours, you can go Vaikom route and stay some time in Thanneermukkom Bund to enjoy some breeze, have food from Cherthala Town. Return journey will be a little hurdle because of the ongoing highway construction, there are two routes. One is via Theerasesha Paatha which is Arthunkal - Azheekkal - Aroor Route or Cherthala - Thuravoor - Thykkattusserry - Poochakkal - Aroor Route via MLA road. I prefer the second one because the road is better
