An increasingly unreasonable number of people use personal transport more than public services. Can't blame them with how our buses are, during rush hours are stupidly packed while lull hours leavs the roads devoid of a bus for upto 30 minutes at a time.

Personal opinion: I think the city should work with other cities and the districts of Tulunadu (Udupi, Sulia, Puttur, Ujire) as well as the towns (Padubidri, Karkala, Kateel, Moodbidri, Bantwal, Uppinangady) to build an inter-city metro system. While the elevation disparity can be a hurdle, running it elevated should be feasible. I don't have numbers on me but depending on bus footfall, employment spread, and decent planning, it could pay itself off in a decade or two.

I can't see this happening 😭😭😭 FRA-BLR is one of the very few routes left in the world operating regularly on the 747-400. If demand splits between AI and Lufthansa, they won't be able to send a 747 for this route anymore and that's really sad. Not only for Indian aviation enthusiasts but for every 747 lover out there 😭😭

Take an auto/cab from estate to thane station-gonna take you around 30-40 mins to reach station
Then take the trains: Thane station to Nerul station(harbour line-platform 9/10)
Then take an auto from Nerul station- 5 mins from station
